The Phoenix Convention Center is hosting the General Council 2011 of Assemblies of God this week. The Assemblies of God USA and Assemblies of God is largest Pentecostal denomination. The Assemblies of God was founded in 1914. Today the organization has nearly 3 million member in 12, 300 churches in U.S. and has more than 63 million members worldwide. The General Council, the biennial business meeting, is responsible for church business, electing officials and convening ministries and activities of the church.
